In case of inclement weather, BCS has put in place the following policy, as stated in our Student and Family Handbook:
If unexpected inclement weather occurs during the school day, parents may pick up the child early or telephone the school and give permission for the student to leave early. All school closings, other than inclement weather, will be shared for each school year on the At-A-Glance Yearly Calendars.
If traveling conditions are hazardous, the school will be closed. If road conditions are expected to improve later in the morning, the school will open at 10:00 a.m. Should school be canceled due to inclement weather, co-curricular activities may also be canceled. Information on a closing or a delayed opening will be sent directly to parents through FACTS’s Parent Alert or Procare Parent Alert via parents’ cell phone numbers. The Bethesda social media pages are updated with relevant information.
