Middle School Teacher
Job Description:

Responsibilities:
Models and Fosters Spiritual Growth:
- Integrates biblical truth across all subject areas, helping students see knowledge through a Kingdom lens.
- Encourages students to grow in their walk with Christ.

Develops Critical and Imaginative Thinking:
- Creates an engaging, collaborative classroom culture that nurtures curiosity and a love for learning.
- Designs inquiry-based lessons that challenge students to explore, analyze, and apply
knowledge in meaningful ways. - Utilizes textbooks as tools and incorporates real-world, project-based learning to develop critical thinking.
- Minimizes rote learning and worksheets in favor of active, student-centered exploration.
Designs Instruction Aligned with Curriculum Standards and Biblical Integration:
- Plans and implements purposeful lessons that align with BCS curriculum objectives and applicable academic standards.
- Integrates biblical worldview and principles into each subject area, helping students connect truth with knowledge.
- Adapts instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students while maintaining high expectations.
- Uses a variety of teaching methods, including the integration of technology and hands-on activities, to engage learners.
Teaches a Growth Mindset
- Emphasizes progress over perfection, reinforcing that each student’s identity and worth are found in Christ, not in performance.
- Encourages perseverance, character, and grit through feedback that promotes resilience.
- Celebrates learning from mistakes and helps students set goals for academic and spiritual development.

- Collaborates with parents, support staff, and administrators to ensure holistic development of each child.
Classroom Culture and Management:
- Cultivates a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered environment where students are known and loved.
- Sets clear expectations grounded in grace and truth, guiding students in conflict resolution and reconciliation.
- Maximizes instructional time through thoughtful routines and structures that promote student responsibility and joy in learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant subject area.
- Valid teaching certification or license.
- ACSI certification or willingness to pursue certification within the first year of employment.
- Strong knowledge of Christian teachings, values, and biblical principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal spiritual growth and a vibrant Christian faith.
- Experience in teaching or working in a Christian school environment (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to integrate faith and learning effectively in the classroom.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children and their holistic development.
