Elementary
From transitional kindergarten through 5th grade, we utilize Christian-based curriculum that prepares students for future success.
We approach our transitional kindergarten through 5th grade curriculum from a biblical, Christian worldview, which focuses on the fundamentals of learning that provide essential building blocks for future success. Specialty classes in music, art, technology, band, library, and physical education are included in the curriculum for all students.
Growth in wisdom is fostered through our academic subjects, daily Bible lessons, and weekly chapels. Students are taught biblical values and virtues while given daily opportunities to actively demonstrate their development.
We are ever mindful of the developmental stages of children and the various needs of learners, who are all image-bearers of God. Once your child has completed our elementary school program, it’s a natural progression into our middle school program.
Each member of our wonderful faculty is committed to the holistic development of our students. We are passionate about seeing kids reach their full potential, as we prepare them for the next steps of their educational journey.
Academic Program
Our program utilizes ABeka curriculum for kindergarten through 1st grade. 2nd-5th grades use Bob Jones as their core text with accompanying workbooks. These provide an enjoyable format for cultivating Christian character.
Kindergarten and 1st graders use ABeka curriculum to build strong phonics skills. 1st-5th graders also use Shurley English to study grammar and apply those skills in the areas of listening, speaking, writing, and reading.
We offer a foundation for mastery by teaching spelling rules, phonetics, and syllabication. Early elementary students utilize the ABeka curriculum and 2nd-5th graders work with Bob Jones spelling.
We utilize Saxon Math curriculum to investigate and learn about numbers and operations, problem solving, patterns and relationships, and collecting and interpreting data.
Using ACSI’s “Purposeful Design” curriculum, students learn about processes of life, as well as physical and earth sciences. Other science topics include force and motion, chemicals, and environmental studies.
Handwriting is taught using ABeka handwriting curriculum. Proper letter formation is emphasized, along with legibility and consistent neatness.
Students will use ABeka curriculum and a variety of other resources to study geography, social studies, government, and world, U.S., and Texas history.
Preparing students for their God-given calling.
